If I claim under two sections, do I pay two excesses?

Yes. The excess applies per section of the policy you claim under, so a claim that spans two sections carries two excesses.

If your bag was stolen with cash inside, for example, that’s a claim under Personal Belongings and a claim under Money. Each one has its own excess.

The same works per person. If two of you on the same policy both claim under cancellation, the excess comes off each settlement separately.

Not every section carries an excess, so check your policy wording to see which ones do.
